Miss. Tazanna Shrestha is a dynamic young executive director and co-founder of the biodegradable sanitary pad project and a social entrepreneur with enthusiasm about gender parity, digital inclusion, and sustainability. She is contributing to the community to promote eco-friendly menstrual health solutions through outreach, product innovation, and awareness campaigns. To dispel menstrual taboos and advance dignity, Shrestha also initiated the “Eak Abhiyan” art and painting campaign during the Covid-19 lockdown. She is a volunteer for Nepal Internet Foundation, where she supports grassroots projects, advocates for inclusive access to technology, particularly for young girls and women and rural communities, and promotes digital education. Her work exemplifies a synthesis of action, empathy, and purpose for a more sustainable and just Nepal.
Mrs. Rojy Shrestha– Co-Founder
Mrs. Rojy Shrestha is the co-founder and serves as the community engagement and women’s cooperative coordinator. An expert in community mobilization and women’s empowerment, Rosy leads local partnerships, training programs, and cooperative development. She ensures the project aligns with community needs and supports sustainable economic development for rural women.

Mrs. Shristi Shrestha, co-founder, is a passionate social entrepreneur; she wants to safeguard the environment and empower women and girls. She has demonstrated tenacity and inventiveness in the face of obstacles in managing social expectations, obtaining funding, and registering a business. She started a local production company, Aba Dhukka, two years ago to address the lack of affordable, environmentally friendly sanitary pads in Nepal, where more than 80% are imported. The team started selling Aba Dhukka pads to friends and local networks with the help of a nearby I/NGO, online, and personal connections.
Mrs. Kalpana Shrestha – Coordinator
Mrs. Kalpana Shrestha (Coordinator) is a visionary leader and social entrepreneur in Nepal, known for her work in girls’ and women’s empowerment and community development. She coordinates the Aba Dhukka initiative, promoting menstrual health, digital inclusion, and sustainable livelihoods. She is the treasurer of WEAN-Lalitpur, supporting local girls and women entrepreneurs through financial literacy and cooperative models. Kalpana is also Nepal Coordinator for the Selfie with Daughter Foundation, leading campaigns that celebrate daughters and challenge gender norms. She is the founder and CEO of Lajga Handicraft, empowering women artisans by connecting traditional skills with modern market trends and promoting recycled and eco-friendly products. She is also the chairperson of Idea Venture and Idea Saving and Credit Cooperative, focusing on inclusive finance and entrepreneurship support for women and youth. With a commitment to equity and sustainability, Kalpana is continuing to motivate and mobilize communities across Nepal.
