What We Do

At Aba Dhukka, we tackle period poverty and menstrual stigma in Nepal through a three-pillar approach that combines sustainable products, technology, and community empowerment:

1. Provide Access to Safe, Affordable Menstrual Products:

  • 🩸 Biodegradable Sanitary Pads: Locally produced, eco-friendly pads designed for Nepal’s climate and cultural needs.
  • ♻️ Sustainable Supply Chains: Women-led micro-franchises manufacture and distribute pads, creating jobs while ensuring affordability.

2. Break the Silence with AI-Powered Education:

  • 🤖 Dhukka Didi Chatbot: A multilingual, privacy-focused AI assistant (accessible via SMS, WhatsApp, and offline) that provides:
    • Myth-free menstrual health info
    • Hygiene best practices
    • Real-time Q&A for girls in remote areas
  • 📢 Community Workshops: Partnering with schools and NGOs to normalize conversations about periods.

3. Ensure Transparency & Scalability with Tech:

  • 🔗 Blockchain Tracking: Ethical sourcing, carbon-neutral production, and real-time impact monitoring.
  • 🔗 Use BlockChain for a Preiod Chart: For privacy and ownership, useres (specially girls and women) to own and control their data and no central authority can misuse or access sensitive health information.
  • 📊 Data-Driven Impact: Measuring reductions in school absenteeism, health outcomes, and economic empowerment.

Why It Works:

  • For Girls: No more missed school or unsafe alternatives like rags.
  • For Women: Income opportunities as producers, educators, and leaders.
  • For Communities: Shifting norms through open dialogue and accessible solutions.

We don’t just sell pads—we’re building a movement for menstrual equity.
