Meet the incredible women leading our efforts to create a safer, more inclusive future for Nepal’s communities, with a focus on their roles in our supply chain for biodegradable sanitary pads and broader campaign initiatives.

Sadan Khatri – (Chief Financial Officer)

Aba Dhukka’s Chief Financial Officer, Sadan Khatri, makes every rupee count by spending it with intention, accuracy, and openness. He heads the firm’s financial operations with honesty, managing budgeting, accounting, and regulatory compliance to facilitate sustainable, scalable growth. Sadan’s role is critical in crafting pricing models that are affordable to rural groups and financially sustainable, using cross-subsidies and grant funding. He also ties financial data to real-world impact through the union of cost frameworks with blockchain-powered dashboards demonstrating how each investment equals empowerment for Nepalese women and girls. His leadership ensures that funds are utilized effectively and ethically, basing Aba Dhukka’s mission on trust, accountability, and sustainability.

Asmita Lamichhane-(Communication & Media Manager)

Asmita Lamichhane serves as the Communication & Media Manager at Aba Dhukka, where she leads with creativity, empathy, and a sharp eye for impactful storytelling. As a digital content creator and strategist, she brings the voices of Nepali girls and women to the forefront crafting stories that reflect their lived realities, challenges, and resilience.

From designing educational carousels to producing awareness reels and managing social media campaigns, Asmita ensures that every piece of content speaks to the heart of the community. Her work bridges communication between the ground and the digital world, collaborating closely with the education and outreach teams to maintain a consistent and culturally rooted brand voice.

Whether she’s behind the camera, curating visuals, or refining messages in Canva, Asmita transforms insights into action using media as a powerful tool for change, learning, and connection.

Avilasha Chand Thakuri-(Content Creator)

Avilasha is the creative force behind Aba Dhukka’s visual storytelling. As a content creator with over 27,000 Instagram followers, she brings a powerful blend of authenticity, aesthetic insight, and digital strategy to her work. At Aba Dhukka, she crafts engaging Reels, behind-the-scenes visuals, and campaign content that connect deeply with young audiences and spark conversations around menstrual health.

Her work bridges advocacy and art delivering stories that are relatable, bold, and rooted in purpose. Whether it’s spotlighting local changemakers or amplifying our community impact, Avilasha’s content helps turn awareness into action.

Deepika Singh Thakuri-(Community Engagement & Volunteer Lead)

Deepika brings creativity, empathy, and a deep passion for social impact to her role as Aba Dhukka’s Community Engagement & Volunteer Lead. With a strong background in storytelling and youth leadership, she connects with diverse audiences to break menstrual stigma and spark dignity-driven conversations across Nepal.

A former school captain and national marketing competition winner, Deepika has organized grassroots campaigns, produced community documentaries, and led school-wide projects that amplify underrepresented voices. Her leadership as Vice President of the Art Club and recognition as a UN Volunteers Debate finalist reflect her ability to inspire and mobilize young people around powerful causes.

At Aba Dhukka, Deepika coordinates local outreach, volunteer programs, and youth-led campaigns. From designing relatable content for Dhukka Didi to co-facilitating school workshops, she ensures our movement is grounded in lived experience, community trust, and creative expression. Her work helps turn awareness into action one conversation, one classroom, one volunteer at a time.

Niraz Shrestha – (System Administrator)

Niraz Shrestha is the technical backbone of Aba Dhukka, ensuring the seamless operation of our digital infrastructure that powers menstrual dignity across Nepal. With a strong foundation in system administration, Niraz is responsible for the setup, configuration, and maintenance of our IT systems, including servers, networks, and user accounts. His role is pivotal in safeguarding the security and integrity of our data, implementing regular backups, and troubleshooting any issues that arise to maintain system reliability.

Beyond routine maintenance, Niraz plays a key role in deploying and optimizing IoT devices and sensors that track pad production and distribution. His expertise ensures that our blockchain-powered supply chain system operates smoothly, providing transparency and trust in our operations. Additionally, Niraz supports the functionality of Dhukka Didi, our AI chatbot, by ensuring the underlying systems are robust and responsive.

Known for his proactive approach and collaborative spirit, Niraz approaches every technical challenge as an opportunity to enhance system resilience and empower our team. His work enables Aba Dhukka to deliver sustainable, tech-driven solutions that uplift women and girls across Nepal.

Raunak RegmiAI/ML Trainee

Raunak Regmi is an aspiring Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning professional currently serving as an AI/ML Trainee at Aba Dhukka. He is pursuing his Bachelor’s in Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence at Sunway College, where he actively explores the intersection of technology and social impact.

At Aba Dhukka, Raunak contributes to developing and refining data-driven tools and digital solutions that amplify the organization’s outreach and advocacy efforts. He supports the team in areas like data analysis, AI prototyping, and tech-enabled storytelling, ensuring that the solutions are both innovative and grounded in the real needs of the community. With hands-on experience in Python, Java, and tools like Pandas, NumPy, and GitHub, Raunak has worked on projects such as a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) based chatbot and PawBand. He is deeply passionate about learning, building, and using ethical AI to make a tangible difference in people’s lives.

Driven, curious, and committed to growth, Raunak brings a future-facing perspective to Aba Dhukka’s mission of building a more inclusive and compassionate digital society.

Ms. Kushum Shrepa (Incharge- Showroom and Storekeeper)

Role Overview: Kushum is the welcoming face of Aba Dhukka’s showroom and the guardian of our inventory. As the Showroom and Storekeeper Incharge, she ensures that our sustainable sanitary pads, made from banana fiber, are beautifully displayed, properly stored, and ready for distribution to schools, NGOs, and stores across Nepal.

Ms. Ranju Gurung (Incharge – Factory and Manufacture)

Role Overview: Ranju is the powerhouse behind our production line, serving as the Incharge of Factory and Manufacture. She oversees the transformation of banana fibers into absorbent, biodegradable sanitary pads, ensuring every step meets our high standards for quality and sustainability.

Ms. Pratima Budathoki (Incharge – Sales and Marketing)

Role Overview: Pratima is the voice and vision behind Aba Dhukka’s outreach, serving as the Incharge of Sales and Marketing. She spreads the word about our sustainable pads, the Dhukka Didi Podcast, and our digital safety initiatives, ensuring our mission reaches every corner of Nepal.

Pinki Kumari Singh (Program Assistant – Office Administrator)

Role Overview: Pinki is the organizational backbone of Aba Dhukka, serving as the Program Assistant and Office Administrator. She keeps our operations running smoothly, supports our team, and ensures our programs align with our mission to empower Nepali girls and women.
